An original MS for my fan project Gundam Wing: The Sword. It is introduced in Act I, Episode V. Inspired by the Gyan, and weirdly enough, the Z'gok E. These colors are the mass produced version of the Grief Gemini.
Grief Gemini
Role: Close Combat Mobile Suit
Features: Optional Mobile DOLL System
Armaments: Grief heat sword x1, Buckler gatling x1

Description:
A mobile suit that specializes in melee combat where most pilots have trouble surviving. It has overlapping armor plates that cover the usual weak points found in most mobile suits, making the Grief very difficult to disable. It has high running speed and straight-line thruster acceleration.
The Grief is fielded in lesser numbers than the Gemini MD. It is usually piloted by aces, and sometimes specialized melee combat squads are formed with this mobile suit. A mobile DOLL system can be installed in the suit for commanders that want to overwhelm the enemy with close-range tactics.
Special notes:
Grief heat sword: It is a straight double-edged sword that enhances its cutting power by super-heating the blade. The tip does not come to a point, but is fashioned into a square edge, so the sword is technically a sort of three-edged sword. A single hand is usually used for this weapon, but it can be used in a hand and a half style. Some pilots choose to dual-wield this sword. It is holstered on the hip armor when not in use.
Buckler gatling: A smaller round shield gripped in the fist. The center contains a short-barreled gatling gun that has a high rate of fire, but short range. An ammo drum is attached to the back of the shield. This weapon is sometimes dual-wielded by some suits.

Nice overall design. The colors and sword are real nice.
the shield Gatling is /eh, though admittedly I prefer it to the gyan's missile shield. I think a 'predator-style' shoulder mounted minigatling would have been a better choice for mounting a suppression weapon larger then a head vulcan.
I could see mounting things like chaff/flare, launchers, smoke/flash gernade launchers, or even a copy of the dom's beam spray weapon mounted on it's torso as a better shield mounted option (reduced mass, versatility)
The joint armor seems...odd. and what I mean is that it being on the outside of the rest of the plating is odd. I could see it interfering with mobility in high speed movements as the piece fails to lift from the joint fast enough. The plate probably should ave been 'internally' mounted, possibly segmented.
